One might ask, why is this apparent inconsistency? On the one hand they say that President Obama is not doing enough or acting fast enough in Afghanistan, on the other some are saying that he should pull all troops out because we are not prepared to suffer any more costs of American lives for a corrupt government.
The country of Afghanistan has been called “The Graveyard of Empires” and rightfully so, the British saw defeat there as well as the Soviets. There is no reason to believe that we are going to fare any differently.
However, if you see it like I do, as a double edged sword, you can’t help but deduce that Republicans are setting up President Obama whether he takes one path or the other. It is a lose, lose situation. And they are just salivating over the fact that Afghanistan is a problem that Obama may not be able to solve.
However, what the assholes are failing to even mention is that the Afghanistan war has been going on longer than any war in our history, that because their insistence in invading Iraq and carrying on an unnecessary war there, wasting our resources and having Iraq become a nuisance distraction, the war in Afghanistan was neglected and we are in a precarious situation over there now as a result of ex-President’s Bush incompetence and arrogance as well as the insistence of the Republicans to take us into an unnecessary war.
It is clear that conflict and war in the world, particularly in the Middle East is good for the oil companies. That is what many believe the Iraq war was about. Curiously, we find that conflict coincides with high profits for the oil companies. Conversely, high gasoline prices bring about less consumption and the oil companies make a higher level of profit while actually selling less. In other words, they work less for what they do and get a bigger return on their investment.
You probably have heard Republicans repeat their mantra “Drill, baby, drill”. And they also want you to believe that we don’t have the technology to become energy self-sufficient or not depend on foreign oil. Don’t you believe it. Just look at Brazil, a third world country in the 70’s; they decided they were not going to be hostage to the oil cartel and embarked on the most ambitious program of its kind even by industrialized nations’ standards. They converted most of their vehicles to be able to run on ethanol derived from sugar cane, which is self-sustainable and non-polluting. As if this wasn’t enough, they went out and borrowed heavily from the World Bank and build what is still today, the largest hydroelectric dam in the world. Itaipú dam provides for the energy needs of almost half of the South American continent. And Republicans want us to believe it can’t be done? This happened over thirty years ago folks.
I also had my doubts and for that reason, I am posting below the following graphs and facts.

Curiously, shortly before his replacement, Greenspan let it slip that the war in Iraq was a war about Oil. He retracted the statement shortly afterwards, I am sure after Rove, Cheney and Bush chewed him a new asshole. But what was said, was already out there and he couldn’t take it back. That is one truth that was revealed to us from one who knows.

PATHETIC, JUST EMBARRASSING. TOM DELAY WAS A LOSER WHEN IN CONGESS, HE IS A BIGGER LOSER AS A DANCER.
I don’t like to watch programs like “Dancing with the Stars”. I think these types of programs are silly and have very little redeeming value. But this one takes the cake. As if his relevancy had not been diminished enough when he was removed from Congress, this asshole has such an ego that he wants to continue in the limelight. I couldn’t help to watch the clips in the news of Tom Loser Delay’s ineptitude on the dance floor.I couldn’t help to watch the clips in the news of Tom Loser Delay’s ineptitude on the dance floor.
It wasn’t enough to suffer the humiliation of being convicted of corruption and removed, he has to somehow continue to bring shame upon himself by dancing in a banal, meaningless program and show the world that he is the “stud” who can dance his way to fame. Who does he think he is? John Travolta in “Dirty Dancing”.
Michelle Bachman is at it again. Now she is saying that having a nurse in the public schools could lead to government sponsored abortions done without parental knowledge to 13 year old girls. This cunt doesn’t know where to draw the line. Imagine that? All I have to say is if your 13 year old daughter gets knocked up it doesn’t say much for your parental skills and the way you have been bringing her up. I think that is what may have happened to Sarah
Palin. We need to do something about removing this douche bag from Congress.

A reader of my blogs asked me why the name TrickledownBS. I think it is almost self-explanatory. To start, the term was coined by ex-President Reagan who recommended the premise that if you gave money to the rich, they will pass it down to the middle class and the poor. The “Trickle Down Economics” that he believed in and to a great extent a lot of his disciples still do, just doesn’t work. We know that if you reduce the taxes on the very wealthy, if you give them subsidies and award them sweetheart deals, like contracts that are hyper-inflated, they will just hoard the money. What little that is actually percolated into the national economy is spent on excesses like yachts or private jets. It is still to be proven to me and millions of other people in America that “Trickle Down Economics” is not Bull Shit.
