thanks for following my blog.
Insurance companies are parasites…
Why is this legislation not enough and wrong?
Let’s get one thing clear here, this Health Care legislation is just the creation of some needed regulation, not, and let me emphasize this, it is NOT HEALTH CARE REFORM.
The way I see it, as most of us progressive liberals see it is just a giveaway, more revenue, extra profits and a lot of new policies for the insurance companies. WHAT A SWEET FUCKING DEAL for them. And we, the tax payer will have to pay for it. Imagine that? Giving away our money to the Insurance Companies while they have been screwing us all these years. Let’s not even talk about the Pharmaceuticals, they cut a sweet deal early on and you don’t hear them squeek.
Why do we even need the Insurance Companies in this picture? Beats me. They are the middle man and serve no purpose nor do they provide any kind of service. They are by nature, being insurance companies supposed to be taking a risk. But they do not take risks, it is all profit for them and they want to keep it that way. What they are is nothing less than parasites.
Frankly, I would be just as happy if they all closed their doors and went out of business. They don’t deserve the obscene profits they are making and they have more than pushed the limits of the American people. Not only that, but they have blood in their hands. Just consider how many people have died because they can’t have coverage.
If this legislation had any adverse effects on the Insurance Companies their stocks would not have made the gains they have made in the past few days.
Yet we know they are going to benefit and do so in a big way…you would think that if they (their CEO’s) had a shred of decency they would not have opposed this legislation that as it stands will give them untold benefits. Or maybe that is just the tactic, make all of America think that they don’t approve while they laugh at us all the way to the bank.
The Insurance Companies now have to appear as if they are still not in favor of this legislation but they are popping the champagne corks in their headquarters.
Consider too how many millions have faced total financial ruin because of their medical bills. That is something we have to blame the Insurance Companies for and not one person can tell me any different. I know what they do, how they operate, and how they have managed to cut themselves this beneficial legislation.
We on the left don’t like it and I dare President Obama say that he didn’t favor a Public Option while he repeated it through the Presidential Campaign. The Democrats are going to sign this shitty bill and will have to hold their noses while they are doing so. President Obama and the Democrats would take just about anything in the form of legislation, even if they know that it is not what the country needs nor is it what they fought for. It certainly isn’t what the majority of the American people wanted.
One more time I am going to repeat what I have said many times before: Democracy is but a mirage in America, the people vote to get some results, some action, legislation favorable to them and when the politicians they elect get to Washington, they turn right around and make laws hurting the constituents and benefiting the rich and the big corporations. It is expected of the Republicans, but not from Democrats, because they, at some time or another in their lives had some ethics, some compassion and a realization that change and progress are inevitable. The preservation of the status quo is unacceptable; that is why they became Democrats.
It is remarkable that these hypocrites will quote the Constitution when defending their ideology…but please, somebody tell me, where is it in the Constitution that it says those elected to office have to represent the super rich and the corporations….as far as I know, the concept of Democracy, so amply prescribed by the Constitution, says that this is a democracy, not a welfare state for the rich and powerful.
