SOPHISTICATED CRASS

These are terms or “labels” that we attached to one or the other person or way of thinking on either side of the spectrum. I find that the one column on the left has by far less negative connotations. The ones on the right of the spectrum have attempted to discredit or debase those on the left by making some of these words appear evil, like SOCIALIST, but if you look at it from a more enlightened point of view, those on the right column seem to evoke far more negative and unpleasant associations.

Perhaps that is why I am best described by words on the left.

There are some who insist in fighting “The Culture Wars” such as Mr. Bill O’Reilly. Of course, I don’t think for a minute that he or even Mr. Rush Bouncie Bouncie Lindbaugh believe any of this crap, they are convenient labels that they use to promote controversy. Controversy will get these two attention and the attention begets them riches.

FREE MARKET ECONOMY

Where all market activities are left to chance, supposedly the market responds to the laws of supply and demand. These are kept without interference from the government in its more purist forms whenever possible. Laissez Faire or let the market take care of itself is the concept.

FORM OF GOVERNMENT

There are some variations here, but mostly it is an attempt by the ruling class to give the masses the illusion that they have a participatory role in their government. They call it Democracy, but in most pure capitalist models it is just that, an illusion. The governments can be parliamentary with a representative monarchy, parliamentary with a president, a repressive dictatorship by an authoritarian head of state, it can be a system of elected officials that are supposedly responding to the wishes of their constituents, only they are more obligated to those who contribute monetarily to their election campaigns. Such is the model that exists in America today where the real power lies within the lobbying interests acting in favor of the very rich and the corporations.

MILITARY

A very strong military should exist to “defend” the interests of the country and its business concerns and protect the country against attacks from foreign enemies. It also acts as a means to keep, establish and protect the interests of the country’s business abroad. Oftentimes, the military serves as a stimulus to a lagging economy. War being a business and a profitable one for the military industrial complex, is often an ends to the means using the conflicts and injecting military involvement in order to drum up business activity for these military industrial complex’s concerns.
