Republicans pray for harm to colleagues

An example came last night, when the ailing Robert Byrd was wheeled in at 1 a.m. to break a filibuster on the manager's amendment. Byrd's presence was not required, especially considering that he'd clearly telegraphed his intention to vote to break the filibuster. But Republicans forced him to travel to the chamber. Indeed, shortly before he arrived, Sen. Tom Coburn headed to the floor to propose a prayer. "What the American people ought to pray is that somebody can't make the vote tonight," he said. "That's what they ought to pray."

Assuming that God in the form which these people believe him/her to be exists, and that he indeed sent his son Jesus Christ to earth, and assuming that prayer, which to me is nothing but wishful thinking; yes, assuming that it works; then God is not listening to the Republican’s prayer.

After all, why should God listen to them? He sent his son Jesus Christ, a champion of the sick, the poor, and the meek and downtrodden to earth so he could give them comfort and hope. Republicans are not associated with these. So why should God listen to their prayers?

You are a skeptic about global warming?

There are some non-believers out there who will deny that global warming is here with us. Mostly Republicans who don’t give a shit about the environment and see it as a plot to encumber business activities, they see it as a conspiracy by leftist activists that hate capitalism.

Nothing could be further from the truth. If they really get down to the nitty gritty, they will realize that being green is actually good for business and that selling their mothers to the highest bidder, ignoring all signs that the earth is indeed getting hotter, all in the name of profit and the almighty dollar, they will not have a world worth a shit to live in

But I suppose that even if you were to hit them in the head with a 2 X 4 or even waterboard them they still will not see the light.

The signs are all around us, the bulk of credible scientists are pointing it out; like Bolivia’s Chacaltaya Glacier, once known as the world’s highest ski run at 17,388 feet, has completely melted away, serving as a vivid example of the effects of climate change on the glaciers around the globe.

“Chacaltaya has disappeared. It no longer exists.” - Dr. Edson Ramirez, Institute of Hydraulics and Hydrology at the Universidad Mayor de San Andres.

Medicare Fraud

Why is Medicare so wasteful? So expensive? Read below of all the fraud that has been uncovered nd it is just the tip of the iceberg.

Shelves containing files on healthcare fraud cases are seen at a warehouse near Miami, Florida November 23, 2009. It's a crime so profitable that even dead people are in on the act a

nd law enforcement experts, who say it costs U.S. taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars a year, see little hope of reining it in any time soon. Healthcare fraud has garnered increased attention amid the congressional debate about overhauling the U.S. healthcare system, especially since President Barack Obama wants to cover some of the cost of reforms by fighting abuse. FILE - In this Jan. 30, 2008 file photo, former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean testifies before the legislature in Montpelier, Vt. Dean argued Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, that the health care overhaul bill taking shape in the Senate further empowers private insurers at the expense of consumer choice.

If you add to all of this, all the subsidies the Insurance Companies receive and then figure in the overbilling and overpricing that is being billed to Medicare, you have a very compelling answer.
