Republicans just don’t get it

Barely 24 hours have passed since the President gave his State of the Union Address and already we hear all kinds of shit spewing out of the mouths of Republicans. What is it with these people?

I think the President has done everything he could this past year to accommodate and include Republicans in all the legislation necessary to fix the mess they left behind. I don’t quite understand this antagonistic stance on their part other than they think that it makes no difference if the public suffers, if the country is going to hell in a hand basket as long as they gain a few more seats in the Congress by sabotaging every effort by this President.

Don’t they see that what they are doing hurts Americans? Don’t they see that it is also unpatriotic to destroy an already beliguered middle class? What would they have Obama do? They want bsolutely nothing done on the economy, the wars, Guantanamo, health care and regulations of Wall Street and the banks? That is precisely what they want because then this President will have accomplished nothing and nothing translates into fodder for them to get a few more fucking seats and eventually regain the White House so they can continue to fuck the American people.

No, you can’t have it your way Republicans and President Obama has been more than kind, more than accommodating to yield to almost all your unreasonable demands to water down bills and make compromises. If he wasn’t the nice man he is, he would have already told you to go fuck yourselves, I would have said it and it is what you deserve.

  1. Agreed. I found it nauseating that whenever the President mentioned something to do with helping the middle class and taking away some of the 'freedoms' of the corporate and/or upper class (gone are the tax breaks for the top 10%), the right side of the aisle sat there stoically. Isn't this proof enough to the American people that this party is not working toward their best interest? Probably not, because a good majority of those supporting these folks aren't watching the address live, but instead are getting their talking points and all they need to know about the address from Fox News sound bites.

NOT MANY BLACK, LATINOS, GAYS...COULD IT BE THAT THEY ARE RACIST XENOPHOBIC HOMOPHOBES? OR IS IS JUST MY IMAGINATION? ARE THEY JUST WASPHs? (white Anglo-Saxon, Protestant heterosexuals)
