Republicans want to re-write history

It is not just lack of patriotism, if it was that simple we could just shut them up. But somehow, the Republicans would like nothing more than for everyone in the country to forget the eight years of dismal failure that was the administration of George W. Bush.

They keep insisting in “let’s not look back, let’s look forward” yet they are quick to blame President Obama and the Democrats for lack of progress or any victories in legislation that would get us out of the mess they left behind.

Their insistence is so pervasive that we have a Vice-President very aware that his legacy is shameful and negative so he is doing his damndest to change it. I say: “No, Mr. Cheney, you can’t change history, nor will you be able to mask or hide your arrogance, belligerence and total ineptitude. You may be fighting a hopeless battle because history will condemn you and while you may be able to pull the wool over some folks who are either too stupid, uneducated or otherwise stubborn to accept the Republican failure, you will never change your legacy, so live with it you son of a bitch and shut the fuck up”

That is why some of us will continue to bring it up, to remind Americans that the mess Bush and his Republicans cronies left us is not an easy problem to correct. I often secretly wished that McCain would win the elections so that they would be mired in total chaos and failure. For sure McCain would never have been able to accomplish not even half of what President Obama has. But my patriotism won out and I analyzed and thought I would not want harm to come to my country by wishing my President to fail. But make no mistake about it, we will continue to repeat it until we are blue in the face: “Bush was a failure and the Republicans have done nothing constructive for America in the past 40 years, and that includes Reagan who is in the running to be the worst President we ever had.

Hume proselytizing when advising Tiger Woods.

Today our ever pompous and self aggrandizing Bill O’Reilly wrote a column which I read (yes, I do read crap from the extreme right to be well informed) saying that Britt Hume’s advise to Tiger Woods to turn to Christianity because it would offer him forgiveness is absolutely absurd.

Perhaps that is what is wrong with Christianity: you can sin, you can fornicate until your genitals fall off and then you can turn to your religion and ask for forgiveness. That concept does not fly very well with me.

But going to Bill O’Reilly’s argument, he is saying that it is now “CHIC” to be secular…I have to resort once again to the Constitution and to the Founding Fathers. No, Bill O’Reilly, it is not CHIC nor is it in vogue…it has always been there, we are a SECULAR country and you are supposed to keep your religion private. To promote it publicly is PROSELITIZING and un-American.

HAS ANYBODY NOTICED HOW GOOGLE IS PLACING ADS IN MY BLOG PROMOTING ANN COULTER AND NEWT GINGRICH?
