The homophobic religious organizations will still be able to discriminate legally
The provisions of the New York marriage equality legislation still allows for religious organizations to be immune to legal action if they discriminate. They can continue to spew their hatred, their attempts to humiliate gay Americans, to ostracize those within their ranks if they are gay; these religious fanatics don’t realize that while they can still give their gay offspring a big guilt trip and cause them a lot of harm, they now can’t push their fucking intolerance on the rest of us. So, shut the fuck up and go back to your pews to listen to your homophobic preacher’s homophobic vitriol and one who probably just gave a blow job at a public tea room before church and let the rest of America enjoy what our Constitution prescribes: EQUALITY.
So happy today Raulito. You are right about the provision. We had to do that here in NH to get it through. Eventually that will be changed. Hopefully the NY victory will start another domino effect. Being legislative versus court appointed, gives it much more weight and legal heft. we just have to keep pushing! Just 44 more to go!

ReplyDeleteHere the Catholic and Protestant churches dominate the congress and it is impossible to get the Approval of the marriage in Brazil as in the USA (6 states).
We are unfortunately still hated and them just remember us to pay taxes and vote, because here is obligatory to vote in elections.
