I’M 83 AND I’M TIRED –BILL COSBY

I always thought of Bill Cosby as an intelligent, reasonable and wise person…now I have my doubts if this e-mail I received was actually written by him. From the sounds of it to me it looks like any ordinary Ayn Rand, radical ultra right conservative rant. Here is my rebuttal:

I am 67 and I am tired too, tired of people like Bill Cosby being tired and the hopelessness they preach.

I am tired of Evangelicals, Fundamentalists, Mormons, Catholics, Muslims and other religious fanatics telling me how to live my life, passing judgment and forcing me to think that I am somehow flawed, deficient, sinful, worthless and abnormal.

Like you Mr. Cosby, I have been working since I was eleven years old. I never frittered away my money, I was frugal and played by the rules. Then some Wall Street fat cat saw fit to take my retirement money away. I am tired of a system that rewards people like Mitt Romney or Bernie Madoff for what is basically stealing from the poor and giving to the rich…I am tired of VULTURE CAPITALISM.

I am tired of all religions, not just Muslims. I am sorry you see fit to only go against the Muslims but the Christianists are just as bad if not worse because they are hypocrites…and they would harm other humans as we have seen in their “CRUSADES, HOLLY WARS, THE INQUISITION and PROTECTING DEMOCRACY” all the while here at home making people like you Mr. Cosby…sit at the back of the bus or drink from a filthy water fountain. If you want to live in a theocracy you might consider moving to one of those countries. 

I am tired of religious fanaticism and make no mistake about it…there is not one iota of difference between the Christian radical religious fanatic and the Muslim or the Orthodox Jew…the only difference is that the clerics have not asked them to strap a bomb on themselves or fly a plane into a building…but given time Mr. Cosby…they will as the will readily drink the Kool-Aid a la Jim Jones.

I am tired of people like you who think that the wealthy don’t have to spread the wealth and who will argue until they are blue in the face that “TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMICS” works.

No, I don’t believe that people are basically lazy or underachievers…most of them are not and if the super wealthy and corporations have opted to keep everyone poor so they can have cheap, obedient labor then you Mr. Cosby are so fucking wrong. It is not “SPREADING THE WEALTH” Mr. Cosby, it is requiring, demanding that the wealthy pay their fair share.

I am tired Mr. Cosby of people like you telling Saudi Arabia how to spend the oil money they get from us. If you resent this so much, why don’t you work towards promoting, building and depending on wind and solar energy? Would that not deny the oil rich countries our hard earned dollars?

You are tired of Muslims not allowing Christians to build churches in their countries…well, will you allow me to teach EVOLUTION in Christian churches? 

And you Mr. Cosby say that you are tired of lowering your living standards to avoid global warming…I have news for you…you not only will be tired but probably dead and so will your children and grandchildren from the pollution and the climate change that will bring about weather related catastrophes…and all for what Mr. Cosby?  So that the oil companies continue to make obscene profits?

So you are tired of drug addicts Mr. Cosby? Drug addiction is no different than any other illness and as a matter of fact, it serves a very useful purpose: by carrying on this “WAR ON DRUGS” you and people like you are supporting and promoting a cottage industry…a very profitable one where hundreds of thousands of cops, lawyers, judges are making a pretty good living out of those drug addicts when all that money could be spent in treatment and education.

I am tired of people like you and Mr. Romney telling us that we are wrong in having a “sense of entitlement” because in reality Mr. Cosby…we are entitled…we the seniors who paid into Social Security, we're the vets who put our lives on the line to defend our country and even those who were born with some handicap…they too are entitled…or are you and your Republican Party just going to disenfranchise them like you are doing with voting and throw them out in the streets to live under bridges?

Mr. Cosby…you obviously don’t like tats or piercings…but who the fuck are you to tell anybody what to do with their bodies? Who do you think you are to tell women their reproductive organs don’t belong to them but to the government? You Mr. Cosby are passing judgment and that is something I am tired of. 

Yes Mr. Cosby, I too am damn tired…fucking damn tired of people like you…but unlike you, I have a different outlook…you see, I lived all of my life striving to leave this world a little better than I found it. I have two daughters who are liberal progressives like myself and long after I am gone they will still carry on my legacy…and I am tired but not so tired that I can’t fight assholes like you.

I'm 83. Except for brief period in the 50's when I was doing my National Service, I've worked hard since I was 17. Except for some some serious health challenges, I put in 50-hour weeks, and didn't call in sick in nearly
40 years. I made a reasonable salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, it looks as though retirement was a bad idea, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy
to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight
offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the
genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries use our oil money to fund mosques and madrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in Australia , New Zealand, UK , America and Canada , while no one from these countries are allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia or any other Arab country to teach love and tolerance..

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses
or stick a needle in their arm while they tried to fight it off?

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of all parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

I'm really tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.

I'm also tired and fed up with seeing young men and women in their teens and early 20's be-deck them selves in tattoos and face studs, thereby making themselves un-employable and claiming money from the Government.

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 83.. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter and their children. Thank God I'm on the way out and not
on the way in.


There is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us
sends it on!

This last two lines in red is what gets me…you are a piece of shit if you don’t pass this Bill Cosby e-mail and will miss your chance to make a difference….well, I’m passing it on and pointing out how askew and repugnant it is.
