The “FISCAL CLIFF” avoided but we have yet another crisis
in the horizon and this one promises to be three times more contentious and
nasty than the one we just endured.
And it begs the question: Are we going to be
governed by coercion, holding the American people hostage each and every time
there is a need for what should be a rather normal legislative process?
Is this the pattern?
Is this what the future of our dysfunctional government looks like? Surely most
of you will agree that this is no way to conduct the business of governance.
For certain I am convinced that the Republicans are not interested in governing
unless they are at the helm and in complete control of both houses and the
White House…and in the meantime it is going to continue to be just one big,
mother fucking obstructionism.
It is not enough that
the American people went out to vote in November and told Republicans that they
were not buying what they were selling…but it doesn’t matter to them, in
reality, they think that all those people who voted…and spent shameless hours
waiting to cast their votes…they are the 47% that don’t know better, they are
out to get “free stuff” and DEMOCRACY is but a thorn on the side of this
political party of the rich and the corporations.
